Work Experience
Students will have the opportunity to do Work Experience in Years 10/11/12, in any of the three Term breaks, or negotiated at alternate times throughout the year. Redlynch State College encourages all Senior Students to participate in Work Experience.
It is invaluable for students to investigate and sample an area of work that they may have an interest in for the future.
For those students in Year 10 the process also assists parents and students with subject selections in Years 11 & 12.
Subject selections are made during Term 3, so to gain the most advantage from Work Experience, it is preferable that students complete Work Experience in the school holidays where possible.
Hard-copies of the above form can be collected from & returned when complete, to Ms Meyer or Mr Crosby
Once completed this form provides Public Liability Insurance which covers students for personal accident insurance whilst on work experience.
Students wanting work experience in construction, landscaping, and similar industries, will also require a Workplace Health & Safety Card (White Card).
This training can be completed through various providers, such as TAFE & must be completed Face to Face. It cannot be done online.
No student will be placed in these industries without a White Card.
University pathways
Redlynch State College has a strong relationship with local universities and during the year offers a range of opportunities for students to explore university pathways
