We have listened to our student and parent body and are pleased to announce our College will partner with The Wealth Academy and PRF Business Solutions to help deliver learning experiences to students around becoming literate in finance. Being financially literate helps teens to improve their financial capability.
Every parent knows that financial decisions are a part of everyday life. Some of these decisions are small e.g. buying a coffee, others are larger e.g. what am I spending on groceries this week; and others can be even larger e.g. which financial institution is going to be the best fit for me when I need a loan. The more financial capability we have, the better our financial decisions at all levels. Research also shows that better financial decision-making also improves our wellbeing.
Our school recognises the importance of helping our students to improve their financial capability for the future. We understand the importance of helping our students’ parents to guide the financial decision-making of their children at home, as well as offering financial life skill learning opportunities while at school.
