Community

Redlynch State College has always had, and continues have, strong community links. Our parents and local community are active in supporting the college and its events. At Redlynch, celebration of traditional, academic and community spirit events are a feature and are supported by the local and wider community.

Student support services

The college has a range of pastoral care programs that support students, staff and parents. We have an established Special Education Program, Guidance Officer service with three officers serving both campuses, a Chaplain, a School Based Health Nurse, Student/Staff/Parent Wellbeing Officer, an integrated Schoolwide Positive Behaviour Support Program, plus a range of short course programs run on and off campus for students who require specialised support.

Parent engagement

At the College, the education of every student is seen as a three way partnership. We aim to support this prtnership with the student, teacher and parent at all times. Three way parent, student, teacher conferences are held twice-yearly, parent-teacher information nights, written Semester reports, interim reports for Years 7-12, open nights, information sessions, parent workshops and fortnightly newsletters all help to keep parents informed. The college P&C is a very active organisation that is strongly supported by the school community. All parents and carers are encouraged to become involved in the school to help ensure a successful transition across the 13 years of schooling and beyond.
