
At Redlynch State College we recognise the importance of each child's unique qualities. The Prep year provides continuity between the children's prior experiences, their kindy experience and their future learning.
In Prep we provide balanced, stimulating and challenging programs using age appropriate approaches to learning foundation skills in literacy and numeracy in a secure and supportive environment.

To determine when your child can commence their Preparatory year, use the online calculator.
All enrolments are subject to the Redlynch State College Enrolment Management Plan (EMP). If living outside of our school catchment area please complete the Expression of Interest form.

Starting Prep can be an exciting and memorable time, we offer the following events to ensure a strong start for your childs education and a smooth transition into Prep at Redlynch State College.
Primary Campus Tours
Individual campus tours
Individual tours with our Principal can be arranged by calling our friendly reception team, these tours are avaialbe on the following dates:
- Thursday 8th May, 2025
- Monday 26th May, 2025
- Wednesday 18th June, 2025
Group campus tours
A group tour of our facilities is planned for the following dates.
All families and children are welcome to come along. There is no need to register for the Campus Tours.
Please arrive at the Primary Campus office by 3.30 pm. One of our Principals will be there to greet you.

Prep Expo
Tuesday 24th June 5pm - 6pm
We showcase our College and the Prep Program, including
- Understand the Prep curriculum and specialist lessons
- Meet the teachers & staff who will be there on your students journey
- Experience the Prep classroom where your child will take their first steps of education
This event is a step to ensure that your child embraces the transition to Primary School, and we are here to support you during this journey.
