Our P&C Association is a body of committed caring people, who meet with the aim of contributing positively to our school community. We help provide both financial and practical assistance to the school, participate in school planning and act as an advisory body in all matters relating to parental involvement within the E​ducation system.

The objectives of the association are to:

  • promote the interests and facilitate the development and further improvement of the school.​​
  • foster general community interest in educational matters
  • endeavour to bring about closer co-operation between the parents of students attending the school, other members of the community and the staff and students of the school
  • provide advice and recommendations to the Principal of the school on issues and concerns in respect of students and the general operation and management of the school
  • provide or assist in the provision of financial or other resources or services for the benefit of students of the school
  • participate in any committee or other body comprising members of the school and wider community, this will contribute to the general benefit of students attending the school
  • assist the Prep and Special Education Unit of the school.

Did you know:

  • Before School and After School Care, as well as Vacation Care Programmes, are run under the banner of the P&C, as are the Tuckshop on the P-6 campus and the Canteen on the 7-12 campus
  • We operate and run a Food Stall at the Cairns Show every year
  • We run the Book Club four times a year
  • We hold the Family Festival every two years, the Monster Raffle every year, as well as Grandparent's Day, Mother's and Father's Day Stalls, Cake and Coffee Stalls and Sports Days Stall. The list goes on and on!
  • The Redlynch Community Market was launched in August 2012 and we hope to have it up and running again in 2016.
  • We opened our own Stationery Shop in the P&C office in 2011 and we also offer back to school stationery packs through the P&C.

This is why we need your help!

There are many ways you can help the P&C and your school. Make yourself a Member, come along to meetings, help discuss and debate important issues, join in with fundraising activities. 

The Tuckshop and Canteen are always looking for volunteers and the teachers always welcome help with reading and classroom activities. The Library needs assistance covering books and however you want to be involved, you will always be made welcome
