Student Testimonials

Jacopo.jpg
Jacopo – from Turin, Italy

When I first came here the nature left me speechless. Everywhere is full of trees, chipping birds and a wild habitat. Flying by myself is one of the most beautiful things I never thought about. It makes me feel free. Every time I go away by myself, I feel I'm doing the right thing- Visiting new cities in Australia let me see how different  one part is from another."

Gaia.jpg

Gaia – from Geneva Switzerland

In the 8760 hours I've spent here, I've changed, a lot. I believe that we are the sum of the people around us, and I can only be grateful for the great friends I've made. I've met people whose hearts are in their hands, people who make me laugh every day, people who encourage me, inspire me and love me for who I am."

Kai.jpg

Kai – from Tokyo , Japan

“I found the sceneries such as beautiful ocean, beach, and the green mountains surrounding people in here so familiar to me, and that made me reckon like here is definitely going to be like the Eden for me to learn the Australian culture, their lifestyle, a language, and so much more!"

Sophie.jpg

Sofie – from Germany

“When I arrived here in Australia, I got a warm welcome from my host family that I spent a great time with. They made me feel comfortable right from the start, and I'm very grateful for the things they showed me and trips we went on, for example camping. One of my favourite trips I did in Cairns was the snorkelling trip to the Great Barrier Reef. In my opinion everybody should do that if they have the opportunity for that"

Manuela.png

Manuela -  from Parana, Brazil

In the first days, it was a little difficult, mainly because I didn't have the best knowledge of the English language, but over time there has been an improvement on both sides: there is better understanding of the language and we can have real conversation between us ( my homestay and myself) “

Homestays

Education Queensland International (EQI)  offers Study Abroad programs for international students that include a safe welcoming place to live and practise their English language skills in a real home setting.

We recruit suitable homestays according to EQI process. A homestay host will provide a private bedroom, three meals a day and assistance to access transport to and from school.

At Redlynch State College, we take care that every international student is personally received upon their arrival, and we take care to match students with an ideal homestay family to suit their interests. If students wish to live with 2 separate host families over an extended stay, this can be arranged.

All members of the host family over the age of 18 must have a blue card clearance which is organised through the school.  More information can be found on the Blue Card Services website External link External link.
