
What is the Live Production Program?
The Certificate III in Live Production and Services program provides individuals with the opportunity to extend skills within the many areas of the events industry.
The course offers further skilling in all live production competencies including audio engineering and lighting design. Students are expected to coordinate events, work as independent leaders and manage the running and use of our College recording studio.
Redlynch State College Live Production students have previously provided audio, lighting and visual services for the Cairns Triathalon, the Grass is Greener, FNQ Principal’s conference, Tanks Arts Centre productions and all College events.
Students in Years 11 and 12 who show interest and are identified as showing potential to excel in events management, lighting and sound.
Students will have their results for this subject recorded on their Senior Statement at the end of Year 12. Completion or partial completion of this subject may contribute to ATAR. On successful completion of all competencies in this subject students will be issued with a qualification - Certificate III in Live Production and Services. Upon partial completion of the course students will receive a Statement of Attainment showing the units of competency successfully completed.
Pathways
Individuals have opportunities to pursue careers such as:
Audio visual technicians/ engineers, event managers and backstage crew members.
The Certificate III is a direct link to further studies, including a Diploma and Degree of Audio Engineering.
