In Prep we provide balanced, stimulating and challenging programs using age appropriate approaches to learning foundation skills in literacy and numeracy in a secure and supportive environment.

Starting Prep can be an exciting and memorable time, we offer the following events to ensure a strong start for your child's education and a smooth transition into Prep at Redlynch State College.

Individual campus tours with the Principal
Individual tours can be arranged by calling our Primary Campus office on 4039 9255.
Group campus tours
A group tour of our facilities is planned for the following dates.
All families and children are welcome to come along.

EXPERIENCE PREP

This is an opportunity for you to bring your child into a Prep classroom to experience a morning at school. Your child will be able to participate in learning activities with our current Prep students.

Visit our specialist music classroom to explore musical instruments, song and movement.

- Little Athletics Redlynch Style – Tuesday, 27th October from 9:00 am to 10:00 am
Join our Physical Education teacher, Andrew Vearing, to explore athletics to improve gross motor skills and develop hand-eye co-ordination.

Children participate in a range of activities to support the development of fine motor skills. These activities can be practiced at home to further develop these skills prior to beginning Prep.

PARENT INFORMATION SESSIONS
In conjunction with some of our orientation sessions we will host parent information sessions.
- Prepping with Purpose – Wednesday, 14th October from 9:00 am to 10:00 am
All parents need to know about Prep. In this session our classroom teachers will inform parents about what to expect in the first year of school.

Strategies for parents to support your child in their learning to read journey. Practical and informative session run by our Literacy Leader, Dominique Ottone.

Prep 2026 - Open Afternoon - Sausage Sizzle
Tuesday, 1st December from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Enrolled Prep students for 2027 are invited to attend a meet and greet afternoon in our Prep playground. The children will have opportunities to explore the Prep playground and meet our 2027 teaching team.
Join us for an evening BBQ where we can answer any of those last questions you may have as you start to prepare for Prep in January 2027!
