Welcome to an exciting time for you and your student – preparing for the move to High School!
Redlynch State College offer a thorough Transition program for Year 6 students, providing support for students and parents as they move from a primary into a secondary environment as this will ensure the best outcomes for your student.
We aim to make the transition as smooth as possible and over 2026 you will find several opportunities to engage with us. As parents of Year 6 students, it is your responsibility to be familiar with the College and all associated enrolment processes and activities.
General application and Interviews
- Redlynch State College students are automatically enrolled into Year 7 2027 as part of our P-12 College and you do not need to complete the enrolment application forms
- External students, who attend another primary school, will need to complete an enrolment application found on our website https://redlynchsc.eq.edu.au/enrolments/enrolling-at-our-school. Successful applicants will receive an approval letter with instructions on how to book the interview
- As part of the enrolment process all students are required to have an interview with the Deputy Principal prior to the end of Term 3. Instructions on how to book will be emailed
Applications for RACE & Specialised Programs
Regional Transition Day for students
- Each Year 6 attends the high school they have enrolled in for a full day of transition activities
- Date – Wednesday 9 December 2026
