Visual Art is a powerful and persuasive means which students use to make images and objects, communicating aesthetic meaning and understanding from various perspectives. Increasing communication technologies means students need to have a knowledge and understanding of how meanings are constructed.
Visual Art prepares our students for a future in the workforce requiring them to seek creative solutions to design problems, think divergently and use higher order thinking learning skills to articulate an informed and individualised style/expression.
RSC Visual Art offers a range of diverse and challenging programs building from the foundation of drawing into more complex concepts and processes. Our focus is on traditional art forms such as drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics and assemblage, while integrating contemporary practices and technology to explore concepts and focus areas.
